Help & guides

Set up your first review link, learn how to use it correctly across your books, and find quick answers to the issues authors run into most.

Step 1

Create your review link

Paste your Amazon URL or ASIN. ReviewLinker generates one universal link and QR code that automatically routes every reader to their local Amazon store β€” no setup needed per country.

Before you share or print: click your link on both mobile and desktop to confirm it's routing correctly.

Step 2

Add it to your book

Download your print-ready QR code and add it to your back matter. Readers scan and land directly on their local Amazon review page β€” no wrong stores, no extra steps.

Works in Kindle, paperback, and hardcover. Place it on the last page of your book where reader intent is highest.

Step 3

Where to use your review link

Your ReviewLinker URL works anywhere you'd share a link β€” newsletter, ARC emails, author website, social profiles. One link handles every reader, every country, every time. No need to manage different links per audience.

Step 4

See what's actually working

Track clicks by country, book, and time period. See which markets are sending readers to your review pages and which channels are converting β€” so you can double down on what works.

Step 5

Adjust your link settings

By default, ReviewLinker sends readers straight to the review tab. From your link settings you can change where readers land, set a custom slug for each book, and choose a fallback marketplace for readers in regions without a local Amazon store.

Amazon compliant

Is ReviewLinker allowed by Amazon?

Yes, completely. ReviewLinker is a link routing tool β€” it redirects readers to Amazon's own review pages. We don't incentivise reviews, interact with Amazon's platform, or do anything beyond sending a reader to a standard Amazon URL.

Can I use this for KDP Select / Kindle Unlimited?

Yes. KDP Select restrictions cover distribution exclusivity, not how you promote your book. ReviewLinker has no effect on your KDP Select status.

Will Amazon penalise me for using a short link?

No. Amazon has no issue with shortened or redirected links. Readers land directly on Amazon β€” ReviewLinker is just the routing layer that gets them to the right store.

Common questions

Quick answers

The questions authors ask most β€” answered plainly.

Getting started

Where do I find my ASIN?

It's the 10-character code in your Amazon book URL β€” it looks like B0XXXXXX. You'll also find it on your KDP dashboard next to each title. Paste either the full Amazon URL or just the ASIN into ReviewLinker.

Which URL formats work?

Any amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, or other marketplace URL works. You can also paste just the ASIN on its own. ReviewLinker extracts the book automatically regardless of format.

Can I create separate links for Kindle and paperback?

Yes. Each edition has its own ASIN, so you can create a separate link per format β€” or use one if you prefer to send all readers to the same listing.

Links & routing

My link sent a reader to the wrong country. What happened?

ReviewLinker routes by detected IP location. Readers using a VPN or proxy may appear to be in a different country. You can set a fallback marketplace in your link settings to control where unsupported regions are sent.

Can I test my own link?

Yes β€” click it from any device. Note that self-clicks appear in your analytics, so avoid clicking repeatedly. Use the ?country=XX query param to test routing from different countries without inflating your data.

What happens if a reader is in a country with no Amazon store?

They're sent to your fallback marketplace β€” usually amazon.com. You choose your fallback when setting up the link, and you can update it any time.

QR codes & print books

My QR code isn't scanning. What's wrong?

Print size is the most common cause. Use SVG export for the sharpest quality, and make sure it prints at a minimum of 1 inch Γ— 1 inch (2.5cm Γ— 2.5cm) at 300dpi or higher.

Where in my book should I place the QR code?

The last page of your book, or a dedicated "Leave a review" page immediately before the final page. Reader intent is highest right after they finish β€” that's exactly where you want to be.

Can I use the same QR code for Kindle and paperback?

Yes. Your QR code points to your ReviewLinker URL, which works for both digital and print readers. Add it anywhere you'd add a link.

Analytics

My analytics show zero clicks. Why?

Check that you're sharing your ReviewLinker link (reviewlinker.io/m/...) and not your original Amazon URL. Clicks are only tracked when readers go through your ReviewLinker link.

How quickly do clicks appear in my dashboard?

In real time β€” usually within a few seconds of the click.

I clicked my own link to test it β€” will it count?

Yes, self-clicks are counted like any other click. To keep your data clean, avoid clicking your own link repeatedly after the initial test.

Account & billing

What's the difference between Free and Pro?

Free gives you three books with core links and QR functionality. Pro unlocks unlimited books, detailed analytics by country and marketplace, custom short links, and guided back matter review pages.

What happens when I hit my free plan book limit?

You'll be prompted to upgrade when you try to add a second book. Your existing link stays active and keeps routing β€” nothing breaks.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Account β†’ Billing and click Manage billing. You'll be taken to Stripe's secure portal where you can cancel at any time. Pro access continues until the end of your current billing period.
