Cookie Policy
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners about how their site is used.
ReviewLinker also uses browser localStorage — a similar mechanism — to store your cookie consent preference so we do not ask you again on future visits.
2. Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary
These are required for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled.
- Authentication cookies — set by Supabase when you sign in. These keep you logged in across page visits and expire when you sign out or after a set period of inactivity.
- Cookie consent preference — stored in localStorage under the key
rl-cookie-consent. Records whether you have accepted or declined analytics cookies. Persists until cleared.
Analytics (with consent)
We only load these after you have accepted via our cookie banner.
- Google Analytics (
_ga,_ga_*) — collects anonymised information about how visitors use the site, including pages visited, time on site, device type, and country. This data helps us understand usage and improve the Service. It does not identify you personally. Data is retained for up to 26 months. See Google’s Privacy Policy for more information.
Spam Protection
- Cloudflare Turnstile — used on our contact form to distinguish humans from bots. Turnstile is designed to operate without tracking cookies or storing personal data.
3. Third-Party Cookies
When you click a ReviewLinker link and arrive at an Amazon marketplace, Amazon may set their own cookies on your device. These are outside our control and are governed by Amazon’s Cookie Notice.
4. Managing Your Preferences
You can control cookies in the following ways:
- Cookie banner — when you first visit ReviewLinker, you can accept or decline analytics cookies. You can change your preference at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer.
- Browser settings — most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using the dashboard.
- Google Analytics opt-out — you can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics across all websites.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
